Cat Mario Syobon Action 3

Syobon Action or Cat Mario is a game created by the Japanese developers in February 2007. This game is very popular over the world because the developers did a really great job to turn the traditional mario world into the most dangerous place where the objects that may seem innocent at first glance will kill you. Don’t be afraid that the game is in japanese language, just hist the first button to start playing the game. All you have to know to succeed in Cat Mario Game is two simple words : Watch Out! This game is full of hidden obstacles and traps. You may walk under the blocks and suddenly the will fall down.

The greatest strategy how to succeed in Cat Mario is to remember all traps and try to reach checkpoints. Oh, I forgot to mention that the main character of this game is a small white cat and the monsters that you will find on your way are also differ from the traditional monsters of Mario World. Anyway, I hope that you will enjoy the full version of Cat Mario flash game at our website and complete all levels of this game. By the way, there are only 8 levels in this game but I bet you can hardly ever complete the first one.

It is possible to activate this block and not die/progress through. It's hard but you can jump between them when they fall. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 212.85.4.179 (talk) 12:05, 27 October 2009 (UTC)

Is this true?[edit]

'Many who have played the game for the first time could not make it past the first level.'

I think that's a bit of an overstatement. I finished the game on my first try (after lots of deaths apparently but still) and a friend of mine who started playing at the same time gave up somewhere on the 3rd level I think. Also, the first level is really trial and error, none of the really tough puzzles are in it. So can anyone cite an real statistics or something for this? 91.140.22.88 (talk) 17:21, 4 January 2010 (UTC)

I recall playing this game quite a while a go, and didn't give up on the first go. Sure I died several times at least, but I've beaten the stage, even the game as a matter of fact. So to say that 'Many who have played the game for the first time could not make it past the first level.' is, in my view, a overstatement. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 211.31.8.141 (talk) 12:26, 14 November 2010 (UTC)

Syobon
I have moved the article back to where is was a few days ago, changes are still in the history if there was anything good there to keep. Right now, the article is only sourced by Youtube videos and a blog posting. Please take the time to find reliable sources for this article. Thanks! --Tgeairn (talk) 22:53, 16 August 2012 (UTC)
Given the lack of reliable sources in the article, and my failure to find any in a reasonable search, I have proposed a deletion discussion regarding this article. If you are not familiar with the articles for deletion process, it is recommended that editors read WP:AFDEQ before participating in the discussion. --Tgeairn (talk) 23:06, 16 August 2012 (UTC)
I've just found some and cleaned up the article because it was in a terrible state anyway. I, Jethrobotdrop me a line(note: not a bot!) 06:08, 17 August 2012 (UTC)

KKK cat and dongs.exe?[edit]

Has it really been referred to by these monikers? I would like to see a source. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2.220.77.101 (talk) 22:56, 24 August 2012 (UTC)

Syobon

dongs.exe is the filename it uses when you upload it to a website — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.187.191.151 (talk) 00:55, 6 September 2012 (UTC)

Kind of late to the party but I added dongs.exe moniker source to the article. I believe it was first used in a Something Awfullet's play thread started in December 2007 by taxidermistpasta. [1]178.36.205.100 (talk) 10:09, 17 March 2014 (UTC)

Shobon or Syobon?[edit]

I'm indecisive on whether this article should be called 'Shobon Action' or 'Syobon Action'. The main character of the game is '(´・ω・`)' which is apparently called 'Shobon' (しょぼん) according to AA/Shift_JIS artwork found textboard websites like 2channel, which means the game should be called 'Shobon Action' instead, but the game seems to have a long history as 'Syobon Action'. Any thoughts on this? zwigith[?] 04:27, 22 June 2016 (UTC)Japanese doesn't use Hepburn, so no, this character is not called 'Shobon'.

Syobon action game

I've moved it back to Syobon Action, for reasons outlined in the edit history (WP:COMMONNAME, 'syobon' is a valid transliteration). Sonictrey (talk) 17:09, 8 July 2016 (UTC)
